Auf Wiedersehen Germany! Last week we wrapped up a highly successful GPU Technology Conference (GTC) Europe in Munich! GTC is NVIDIA’s international conference series, bringing together the top minds in deep learning, analytics, and of course GPUs for sessions, workshops, keynotes, and more. This was the place to be for any and all European organizations interested in leveraging the power of the GPU.

As the Kinetica engine runs on GPUs, there’s no better place for us to share our solutions for advanced analytics and deep learning. This year we noticed a significant increase in the number of organizations that understand the challenges of the Extreme Data Economy. Businesses and governments are faced with collecting, sharing, and analyzing more complex, unpredictable data than ever before and they’re finding that traditional solutions are falling short. Innovators are looking to solutions that leverage the massive parallel compute power of the GPU to gain a competitive edge. We had great conversations with companies from different industries including financial services, healthcare, and automotive and look forward to helping them turn their data into a valuable asset.

A highlight of GTC Europe was a fantastic presentation by James Mesney, principal solutions engineer here at Kinetica. James spoke as part of the financial services track on “How GPUs Speed the Analysis of Real-Time Risk, Fraud Detection, and Trader Surveillance,” sharing how leading financial institutions have turned to GPUs to take batch processes into real-time. If you’re interested in learning more about Kinetica for financial services, visit our solutions page for finance or download this white paper.

We were also on hand to watch NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang’s inspiring keynote, including a significant announcement: the unveiling of RAPIDS, an open source set of data science libraries optimized for the GPU. This is an exciting innovation that will help to accelerate model development and accuracy. Once models have been trained on RAPIDS, organizations can then bring them to Kinetica to operationalize and deploy them in real-world use cases. As a RAPIDS Industry Partner, we’re looking forward to working with NVIDIA to bring AI to all. Check out the blog to learn more.

Finally, we’d like to thank our partners at Dell EMC for featuring us at their booth! It was great to introduce their connections to Kinetica and showcase the power of our engine. Kinetica comes bundled with Dell EMC hardware as an OEM solution, offering an easy way for innovative organizations to quickly get started with advanced analytics and artificial intelligence.

What’s up next for us? GTC DC in October. Almost located in the backyard of our Arlington office, it’s a great event to cap off a year of GTCs. Drop by booth #309 to learn more about Kinetica!
