Air Force’s Digital Directorate Awards Kinetica Contract with $100M Ceiling for Real-Time Intelligence

Today, we announced that the Air Force’s Digital Directorate awarded Kinetica a contract with a $100M ceiling to deliver a Streaming Data Warehouse for the NORAD and USNORTHCOM Pathfinder program. Across the many independent systems throughout air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains, Kinetica will provide NORAD and USNORTHCOM with a fused operational picture in order to enhance situational awareness. The Kinetica Streaming Data Warehouse will fuse and enrich sensor data to deliver real-time intelligence.

General Glen VanHerck, Commander of NORAD and USNORTHCOM, called the Pathfinder program, “One leap forward to improve all domain awareness, information dominance, and decision superiority.”

Kinetica’s Streaming Data Warehouse was selected for its ability to ingest, analyze, and visualize many different massive data streams in real time, in order to model possible outcomes and assess risk.  Military operators can deepen their data analysis capabilities and increase their situational awareness across North America by combining functions currently performed by multiple isolated systems into a cloud platform producing real-time intelligence for leadership to act on.

Kinetica quickly ingests and correlates airborne objects across sensors, building feature-rich entities, and deepening the analysis capabilities of military operators. Teams of data scientists can then bring their machine learning models into Kinetica for entity classification and anomaly detection.
